Empowerment advice: The only person standing in your way is you. Make a list of 1-2 things you want a year and outline a plan for how to get there. Spend 30 min a day of focused time working on you and your goals.
Favorite beauty services: I’m mixed race with sensitive skin and have to be very careful with sun exposure so I’m always checking out new products and services to prevent aging and protect and hydrate my skin. Facials monthly, LED light therapy (buy your own home machine and use it nightly), high frequency for killing under skin acne and shrinking pores (can add to facial), laser for hyperpigmentation, microdermabrasion every couple months, Botox quarterly, microneedling, fillers if you need them
Favorite beauty products: Everyone should get the things that are best suited for their skin type and that’s quite personal. See a dermatologist and learn about your skin. Some of my favorite brands are Skinceuticals, EltaMD, Boscia, Kiehl’s, Fresh, Raya Spa and Tatcha. Go clean where you can and learn to read labels. If you can figure out what you need (oil based cleaner, AHA exfoliating toner, a vitamic c serum, hydrating moisturizer, sunblock, nightly cream, anti-aging product), you’ll learn to start putting together products that make sense for you. You also don’t always need to pay the price tag. If you understand the ingredients, you can get cheaper products with a shorter ingredient list
Skincare Routine: Morning: Wipe an ice cube all around your face and take a cold shower, Tatcha deep cleanse exfoliating cleanser, Ole henriksen balancing force oil control toner, Skinceuticals CE ferulic serum, Skinceuticals hydrating B5 gel, skin refining concentrate from raya spa, true cream aqua bomb, Fresh black tea eye cream, EltaMd sunblock or Skinceuticals UV defense fusion sunblock. Night: Boscia makeup breakup cleansing oil, Amore pacific toner, Raya Spa brightening serum with 20% vitamin C, Raya spa glycolic gel (15% glycolic acid), eye cream, Kiehl’s midnight oil. I also scrub 2-3x a week with Ole Henriksen pore balance facial sauna scrub or Raya spa lemon sugar scrub. The best thing you can do for your skin is drink tons of water and eat well! You can also do DIY skincare such as avocado ro crushed strawberries as a face mask. Sometimes going simpler is better
General overview of a typical day: 6:30am wake up, trade stocks, workout, get ready, meetings upon meetings, cook or order dinner, write a piece of my book, 30 min of either learning something or working on a project against my yearly goals and bed at midnight. Monday – Thursday I mostly don’t go out or see friends. Friday night – Sunday is when I concentrate my social activities so I can be present and not be distracted by work. Sans COVID, I travel almost every weekend
Favorite fashion of the moment: Yellow maxi coats (or colors in general), natural tones all over. With covid, I feel like all I wear is exercise clothes now!
